About Us

Dr. Alejandra Chavez

Founded over 20 years ago in Tijuana by oncologists, surgeons, and integrative specialists. We treat patients at all stages — including those who have exhausted conventional options — with deliberately limited intake so each case receives full team attention.

Alejandra is a seasoned psychotherapist with more than two decades of experience supporting individuals whose medical conditions significantly impact their emotional and psychological well-being. Her work is grounded in a humanistic and relational approach, creating a safe and compassionate environment where patients feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

At the Immunotherapy Institute, Alejandra plays an essential role in the multidisciplinary care team, helping patients and their families navigate the emotional complexities that often accompany serious and chronic illnesses. She works closely with individuals throughout their treatment journey, providing psychological support, emotional resilience strategies, and guidance through the uncertainty, stress, and life changes that can arise during treatment.

Her clinical expertise includes grief and loss, adjustment to illness, anxiety, emotional processing, and end-of-life support. She is particularly recognized for her work in thanatology, helping patients and families navigate difficult emotional transitions with dignity, understanding, and compassion.

Alejandra’s therapeutic style combines clinical depth with genuine human connection, empowering patients to find meaning, emotional balance, and inner strength while facing complex health challenges.

In addition to her clinical practice, she has served as a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Baja California, contributing to the education and development of future healthcare professionals.
