About Us

Dr. Alfonso Martinez

Founded over 20 years ago in Tijuana by oncologists, surgeons, and integrative specialists. We treat patients at all stages — including those who have exhausted conventional options — with deliberately limited intake so each case receives full team attention.

Dr. Alfonso Martinez is a physician with more than a decade of experience in functional medicine and personalized healthcare. He combines conventional medical training with a systems-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying factors contributing to disease, dysfunction, and impaired health.

He earned his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Baja California and began his transition into functional medicine in 2013. Since then, he has dedicated his career to helping patients with complex chronic and oncologic conditions through individualized treatment strategies designed to optimize health and improve long-term outcomes.

As Lead Functional Medicine Physician at the Immunotherapy Institute, Dr. Martinez plays a central role in designing and implementing personalized treatment plans. His work integrates metabolic optimization, nutrition, detoxification support, hormonal balance, gastrointestinal health, and personalized medicine principles into comprehensive patient care programs.

Dr. Martinez is recognized for his ability to translate complex medical information into practical treatment strategies that empower patients to take an active role in their health journey.

Working alongside oncologists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, and supportive care specialists, he helps ensure that every patient receives a coordinated and individualized approach to care.
